The surgical staff at Shore Memorial performs nearly 7,000 inpatient, outpatient and same-day surgeries annually including laparoscopic, laser, arthroscopic and microsurgery. Our surgeons are supported by anesthesiologists, highly-skilled nurses and technicians, and advanced technology. Shore's team of anesthesiologists uses advanced techniques and equipment to administer up-to-date general, regional and local anesthetics.

Shore's specialized Pediatric Surgical Program eases the anxiety of both patients and parents. This family-centered program provides pre-operative teaching by child-life and pediatric nursing specialists for elective surgery patients and their parents. A special child-friendly pediatric surgical lounge enables parents to be present with their children during sedation and again after surgery. Anesthesiologists provide the latest clinical and comforting methods in administering anesthesia to children.
