New Officers Elected to Shore Memorial Hospital’s Board of Trustees

Five new officers were elected to Shore Memorial Hospital’s Board of Trustees at the Board’s annual meeting on January 25.

Jay Gillian was elected to serve as Chairman of the hospital’s 21-member Board of Trustees. He is president and owner of Gillian’s Wonderland Pier in Ocean City and has been an active member of the Board since 2002. 

Susan Schneider was elected as Chair-Elect. Schneider is also a casino marketing consultant. She has been a hospital Board member since 2000, and also serves on the Shore Memorial Health System Board and is the chair of the System Strategic Planning Committee.

Robert J. Bray, D.D.S., M.S. was elected as Vice Chairman. Dr. Bray, an orthodontist with “Brayces” in Somers Point, Absecon, Marmora and Wildwood, is also a clinical associate professor for the Department of Orthodontics at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. He has served with the hospital Board since 2000.

Fernando Delasotta, M.D. was elected as Treasurer/Assistant Secretary. Dr. Delasotta is an active member of the hospital’s medical staff, also serving as the division director of Shore Memorial’s Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Delasotta has been a member of the Board since 1999.

Sandy Tzaferos, PharmD, was elected as Secretary/Assistant Treasurer. Tzaferos is the CEO of MediLink Homecare in Hammonton and MediLink RXCare in Voorhees. She has been a hospital Board member since 2005 and is also the chair of the System Quality and Safety Committee.
