Shore Memorial Hospital’s February Employee of the Month Recognized for Commitment to Quality and Customer Service

Teamwork and commitment to quality and customer service has earned Janet Weick, of the Pharmacy Department, Employee of the Month honors for February.

Weick joined the Pharmacy Department in May of 1998 as an IV technician. Janet's versatility and knowledge of operations make her an asset to the department. Weick often fills in where needed and looks for ways to improve workflow and increase efficiency. Her pleasant manner, dedication, reliability and focus on quality uplifts everyone she encounters.

"Last week, it was very busy in the IV Room and it needed to be restocked. Janet restocked the entire room without being asked. This is something she was not required to do, but still she was thoughtful enough to help out her co-workers. Anything I needed, she got for me and it truly made those busy days a lot easier. I am very thankful for all her help, and I feel lucky to have a co-worker of her caliber," says Oscar Mejia, IV pharmacy technician.

Weick currently lives in Ocean City, and in her spare time enjoys cooking, spending time on the beach and volunteering at a local radio station where she works on youth events and concerts.
