Recognized for her dedication and positive attitude, Jacqueline Gomez, a housekeeper with Environmental Services, was named Shore Memorial’s 2009 Employee of the Year.
Each December, hospital employees have the opportunity to vote for one of the 12 employees of the month, whom they feel has gone above and beyond in his or her duties, as Employee of the Year. Gomez, who was the Shore Memorial’s September Employee of the Month, was the top choice of her peers for 2009.
Gomez is recognized for extending herself beyond her job to assist others. She has received notes from patients and a Pat on the Back Award indicating her outstanding performance. Gomez exceeds expectations by her dedication, positive attitude and pride in her work.
“The nursing staff, employees and visitors have complimented her on her dedication and commitment to Shore Memorial Hospital,” said David West, director of environmental services. “With hard work and a great smile, Jackie continues to be an example of the employees we have who strive to improve the quality of the Environmental Services Department.”
Gomez joined the Shore Memorial Staff in October of 2006. She started off working the night shift in the ER and later transferred to the day shift on 4 Whitby.
“I like working at Shore Memorial because it is a great place to work and has a lot of opportunities for me to progress”, stated Gomez.
Originally from Columbia, Gomez currently resides in Egg Harbor Township with husband Daniel and 15 year old son, Danny.
