Kimberly H. Simers

MHA, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development

Ms. Simers was initially recruited by the hospital in 2007 to fill the role of vice president of marketing. Ms. Simers’ areas of responsibility were soon broadened in 2008 to include strategy and business development.

In her expanded role, Ms. Simers oversees the hospital’s efforts to create a comprehensive physician-hospital alignment strategy and deploy strategies intended to improve quality and access throughout the hospital’s inpatient and ambulatory facilities.

Prior to joining Shore Memorial, Ms. Simers served as the assistant vice president for system development for Southern Ocean County Hospital (“SOCH”) in Manahawkin, New Jersey.

Her responsibilities included business development, strategic planning, physician recruitment and operation of the hospital’s call center. Preceding her work at SOCH, Simers owned and operated Vista Marketing—a marketing communications firm specializing in healthcare and information technology.

Earlier in her career, she served in marketing and health promotion capacities at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois and GlenOaks Medical Center in Glendale Heights, Illinois.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in health science from Western Illinois University and received a master’s in healthcare administration from Seton Hall University. Ms. Simers serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the United Way of Atlantic County and chairs its MarCom Committee.
